Privacy policy
This policy describes how NextGen Interactive LLC handles information on ngi.video.
What we don't collect
We don't use analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't sell personal data.
Video Studio
The studio works on your own computer: files you open are processed in your browser and are never uploaded. So your job list survives a reload, each job's tool, settings, file name and size, status and times are saved in your browser's IndexedDB, and finished files are saved with them when they are small; larger ones last only until you close the tab. Clear history in the studio deletes all of it, and so does clearing this site's data in your browser. The first time Loudness runs, or Compress needs it, your browser downloads FFmpeg from ngi.video as an ordinary file.
The contact buttons open your own email app. Messages go to nextgen.video.dev@gmail.com, a Gmail inbox, so Google stores them.
Early-access API for developers
Early-access requests are stored only if this site is set up to store them. When it is, your email, your organization if you give one, the kind of access you asked for, your description and the time are saved in NextGen Interactive's own Postgres database, on our own server. When it isn't, the reply says your request wasn't saved and asks you to email us instead. If the server can't confirm that it saved your request, the reply says so and asks you to email us too. We keep your request until you ask us to delete it — email us and we'll remove it. To limit repeat requests, the server counts requests from each IP address in memory over about a minute; the address is not saved with your request or written to disk.
Hosting logs
Our hosting provider records standard request metadata (IP address, request path, timestamp, and user agent) for security, rate limiting, and fault diagnosis.
Other sites
Apps we link to on other domains, such as fableforge.to, are separate sites with their own policies.
