# NextGen Interactive (ngi.video) > NextGen Interactive is a software engineering studio building the Video Studio (video tools that run in your browser on your own files at /console, with GPU processing in private early access), web-native RPG and visual novel projects (FableForge, Containment), games and simulations you run locally or from source (Resonance, Open Melvor, GovSim), the Vox AI-native programming language, and transparent decision-support platforms (GigMe, Ramada, GreaterFool, PeaceBoard). For the complete unabridged technical specification, full 40-project dossiers, and the video tool list, read: [https://ngi.video/llms-full.txt](https://ngi.video/llms-full.txt) ## Primary Routes & Live Endpoints - [Home & Engineering Portfolio](https://ngi.video/): Small, useful apps you can try in your browser, the full list of all 40 projects, and an email contact. - [Video Studio](https://ngi.video/console): Compress, trim, join, contact-sheet and loudness tools, plus subtitle search, that run in your browser on your own files. Nothing is uploaded. - [Public API reference](https://ngi.video/api): Read-only public endpoints (health, the video tool list, build-time link data), early-access requests, and the OpenAPI spec, with a sandbox that sends GET requests only. - [Video tool list JSON](https://ngi.video/api/registry/tools): Machine-readable list of the 11 video tools with outcome-level descriptions and where each one runs. - [Early-access requests](https://ngi.video/api/early-access): HTTP endpoint for GPU early-access requests and business inquiries. Requests are saved in NextGen Interactive's own Postgres database; a success reply means it was saved, and any other reply says it was not saved or could not be confirmed. - [OpenAPI 3.1.0 Specification](https://ngi.video/openapi.json): OpenAPI contract for the public endpoints above. - [Build-time portfolio link data](https://ngi.video/api/health/links): Portfolio link data captured at build time. For live status use https://ngi.video/api/portfolio/status. - [Third-party licenses](https://ngi.video/licenses): Licenses and sources for the open-source software the browser tools use, including FFmpeg. - [GPU processing in private early access](https://ngi.video/#contact): Upscaling and other GPU work is not open yet; ask through the contact section. - [Full LLM Context Corpus](https://ngi.video/llms-full.txt): Complete project narratives (taglines, why created, why useful, features) and the video tool list. ## Video Studio tools in your browser (https://ngi.video/console) - **Smart Video Compress** (`compress`): Re-encode a video to H.264 (MP4), VP9 or AV1 (WebM) in your browser with WebCodecs, falling back to FFmpeg (WebAssembly) when WebCodecs can't. Shows the measured size before and after. Why useful: No upload: the file never leaves your device, and the before and after sizes are measured, not estimated. - **Lossless Segment Merger** (`concatenate`): Join clips that share the same codec settings and resolution into one file by copying packets, without re-encoding. Clips that don't match are refused, not silently converted. Why useful: No upload: join camera or screen-capture parts on your own device without re-encoding them. - **Keyframe Video Chunker** (`segment`): Cut one range or split a video into equal parts in your browser. Keyframe mode copies packets without re-encoding; frame-accurate mode re-encodes. Why useful: No upload: cut or split a recording on your own device; keyframe mode finishes in moments because nothing is re-encoded. - **Subtitle Search** (`srt_search`): Search the lines of an .srt file you load and jump the video to any cue — in your browser. Why useful: Editors and researchers often remember a phrase but not when it was said. Load the video and its .srt in the console, search for the phrase, and click a line to jump to it. Nothing is uploaded. - **Contact Sheet Thumbnailer** (`thumbnailer`): Capture evenly spaced, frame-accurate frames from a video and lay them out as one PNG or JPEG contact sheet, in your browser. Why useful: No upload: get a one-image overview of a video on your own device. - **Loudness Normalizer (EBU R128)** (`loudnorm`): Two-pass EBU R128 loudness normalization with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, run in your browser. Video is copied; audio is re-encoded to AAC at the original sample rate. Why useful: No upload: bring a voice or music track to a standard loudness on your own device. ## GPU video tools in private early access (https://ngi.video/#contact) - **2× / 4× Video Upscaler** (`upres`): Upscales lower-resolution footage 2× or 4× with edge-preserving detail recovery and lossless audio passthrough. Why useful: Older archives, game captures, and compressed web clips often look soft on modern 4K displays. The upscaler reconstructs crisp edges frame-by-frame and preserves the original audio track without re-compression. - **Seamless Overlap Splicer** (`seamless_cut`): Finds the exact matching frame and audio waveform between two overlapping recordings and joins them without a visible jump cut. Why useful: When a recording is split across two files with a few seconds of overlap, manually lining up the exact frame and audio sample in an editor is tedious. Seamless Overlap Splicer automatically aligns both visual frames and audio waveforms. - **Semantic Clip Search (Neural Cut)** (`neural-cut`): Searches a video collection for scenes by spoken words or visual meaning and extracts the matching moments. Why useful: Finding a specific 15-second moment inside hours of unedited footage usually means scrubbing timelines by hand. Neural Cut indexes transcripts and visual keyframes so teams can jump straight to matching clips. - **Scene Keyframe & Caption Indexer** (`visual_index`): Extracts representative keyframes whenever the camera scene changes and generates searchable visual descriptions. Why useful: B-roll libraries and silent footage have no dialogue to search. Scene Keyframe Indexer detects camera cuts, saves clean thumbnail frames, and tags them so footage is searchable visually. - **Expressive Portrait Animator** (`live-portrait`): Transfers natural head movement and facial expressions from a driving video clip onto a still character portrait. Why useful: Lets storytellers, game developers, and presenters animate character portraits using a reference performance clip with smooth edge compositing. ## Tier 1: Flagship projects (11) - [Video Studio](https://ngi.video/console) (Media & Video): Open your own video in the browser, try preview filters, record a short clip, and search a subtitle file. -
